MC Bulldogs go 2-2 in the Mid-Summer Classic

The Motor City Bulldogs got off to a slow start in the Mid-Summer Classic. They opened against the Detroit Bees. The Bees broke open a close game with 7 runs in the 4th for a 9 to 1 victory. In the 2nd game the Bulldogs dropped a close one to the 10U Berkley Cubs by a score of 5 to 4. In Saturday's 3rd game the Bulldogs finally got the bats going and defeated Petoskey by a score of 22 to 10. On Sunday morning the Bulldogs completed play by defeating the Raiders 8 to 3.

The Motor City Hit Dogs won the tournament by beating the Detroit Bees 10 to 2 for the championship.

The Bulldogs play their final tournament of the year next weekend in the USSSA AA World Series. Play begins on Thursday.
